Cecelia Twumasi was 57 when she lost her husband, a pastor of the Deeper Life Bible Church. He was her first and only love. As a result, his untimely passing left her in much grief.

After his demise, Cecilia became even more depressed with the rumor that she contributed to her husband’s death. The gossip devastated her and completely broke her down for months.  

“Night and day, I went on my knees. I asked the Lord to plead my cause and vindicate me,” she said.

Healing Arrives

Thankfully, Cecelia was among 55 widows who received free audio Bibles from Theovision International’s Widows Audio Bible Campaign in the early part of the year. The aim of the campaign is to build the faith of widows and support their spiritual growth through listening to the word of God.  

Cecilia says listening to the word of God in her own language has renewed her faith, healed her emotional hurt and given her hope to live again.

“Now, I listen to the word of God all the time. Sometimes, I fall asleep with the device still playing. I am immensely edified each time I listen to the audio Bible. It communicates the love of God to my heart in a way that I have never imagined,” she stated.

Spreading the Word

But Cecilia is not the only one who is being impacted by the audio Bible. Listening sessions are common among the widows during their monthly meetings, and in individual homes too.  

“Apart from the few of us who have the device, a lot of people in this community want their own audio Bibles too. I pray that Theovision would be able to support many more households with their own audio Bibles so the word of God would spread everywhere in this area,” Cecelia pleaded.
