What started as a small Bible Listening Group (BLG) in Boaposo, a farming community near Tamale has matured into a church, the first of its kind in the community.
The establishment of the church in a predominantly Muslim community is an indication of the peace and unity prevailing in the area.
The church building was inaugurated yesterday as part of Theovision International's 2025 Medical Outreach in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.
"Now, Boaposo has a church. The children can learn about Christ and hopefully pattern their lives after his teachings," said Adam Abdul Rahim, a community leader in the area.
Theovision's Medical Outreach is organised each year to express the love of Christ to deprived communities through medical evangelism.
Over 2000 people in the Kusawgu and Tuluwe communities are earmarked for free medical screening and counselling.
