Partners’ Field Trip to Tefle and Adidome

In the early hours of Saturday, March 19, 2022, the Word for All unit and the Partnership unit of Theovision traveled to Tefle and Adidome in Ghana’s Volta Region with 27 donors. The hectic traffic on the road did not deter them from visiting three (3) Bible Listening groups established in the Mekodze, Tenve and Agbozome communities in the Tefle and Adidome townships. The donors and partners were excited to fellowship with the people in the communities and experience a Bible Listening in the Ewe language.

After the Bible listening and discussions, Claudia Korma, a partner of Theovision shared her experience with us. “It has been a learning experience for me. Interestingly, what I have learned from this trip is that the people we support are not just hearing God’s word, but are actually listening and paying attention to everything they do here. I have learned this afternoon, if not for anything else, I didn’t take notice of the fact that, John was also referred to as Elijah. One of the participants drew my attention to that, and for today, being my first time having an experience with them, I learned something from them, which is very awesome to me. I have realized that partnering with Theovision is something worthwhile and I have really appreciated the work Theovision is doing.”

During the discussion session, the participants were so joyful and amazed as they shared their thoughts with the donors and partners. “Most of us here have printed Bibles but are unable to relate to the Word due to our inability to read. One of the facilitators testified.

However, since the introduction of the audio Bible, our lives have changed. We are now able to understand and practice the Word”.

The children in the communities were not forgotten, as donors and partners included them in Bible listening and distributed toys to them.

The participants in the listening sessions thanked Theovision, donors, and partners for reaching them with the Word of God with their support.
