Good Vs. Evil | Richmond’s Encounter

How would you know if something was bad, if you never knew what good and evil was to begin with? Yes, there are rules that govern us at home, school, at the workplace, in our community or anywhere we find ourselves, but how do we really know what GOOD is from BAD? The real question is what makes something good or bad; based on what do you say a thing is good or bad?

Richmond Agbodzalu, is a 19-year-old boy living at Wasakuse. Although a Junior High school student, he was unable to read and understand English. He was also very regularly in church, but his inability to understand English blocked him from understanding the English Bible he owns. Even though he routinely read his Bible, his character showed otherwise. In Wasakuse, Richmond was known for being rude to his parents, his teachers, the elderly and people in authority. But Richmond was soon going to have a special encounter with God in a way he had never imagined.

According to God’s own divine plan Theovision discovered Wasakuse and started a Bible Listening program; and as God would have it, Richmond’s parents became the Leaders of the Bible Listening Group. Richmond had access to the Audio Bible device on days when the Listening Group was not in session, and from time to time he would play and listen to God’s Word.

At first I was just being curious but then I started paying attention to the words since it was in my native language (Ewe). I realized my character was not right before man and God. I didn’t know God’s Word condemned most of the things I did, neither did I know that my actions were sinful. All this was hidden from me because I didn’t understand anything I read from the Bible”, Richmond explained to the missionary.

Richmond decided to join the Bible Listening sessions with his parents. Today, Richmond is able to follow through with his print Bible as he listens to the Audio Bible device in his local language. God’s Word has brought total redemption and transformation into his life and the entire community has witnessed and testifies of the change in his behaviour. Richmond has become an example of the transformative power of the Audio Bible to his peers and every youth his age in the Wasakuse.

Indeed, the Bible is God’s manual that helps us distinguish what’s good from bad. “I want to extend my appreciation to God and Theovision for this life changing program and I pray that all may hear God’s Word and be transformed.”

This is what your support can do. Your gift of an Audio Bible helps change lives like Richmond’s. You can help more people like Richmond to hear, understand and live the Word of God.
