Bayerebon Village Receives Hospital Beds

This year, as part of Theovision’s annual week-long celebration in appreciation of the outstanding and dedicated leadership of their Founder and President Rev. Theodore Asare, Staff of the organization donated 5 Hospital Beds to a local clinic in Bayerebon Village, near Bibiani in the Western Region of Ghana.

In August 2018, Theovision embarked on a 7 days medical mission that benefited 13 villages around Bibiani. Some of these villages are Bayerebon, Nyameyehene, Domeabra and Tawiahkrom. For many years, the only health facility that served these villages was a CHPS Compound where over 12,000 people came to seek medical attention. During the medical outreach, the chief and health officer invited Rev. Theodore Asare to visit the medical facility. After a walk through the clinic, God laid on our hearts to provide hospital beds for the people of Bayerebon. The facility had only 3 beds serving the huge population. “We started operating the clinic facility with 2 beds serving about ten (10) patients in a month. Today, we serve between 700 and 800 patients every month. Our resources are inadequate to cater for the increased number of patients.” Said Augustina Durowaa, the head nurse.

On March 13, 2018, a delegation from Theovision led by Mr. Edward Antwi, the Chief Operating Officer, donated five (5) Hospital beds to the clinic as part of the Founder’s Week celebration. The Chief’s linguist, Nana Owusu Agyemang, thanked Theovision International on behalf of the Chief and people of Bayerebon. Mr. Edward Antwi had this to say, “It is unethical for newly born babies and their mothers to sleep on the floor. This should not be done anywhere. That is why staff of Theovision International contributed to purchase these hospital beds. We know it’s not enough, but it’s better than nothing. We encourage you to keep on listening to God’s Word because His Word is life. When we focus on the things of God, good development will come to the community.
