REACH 2020 Update

March 2020 started great with all the excitement built up during the Reach Campaign which was to raise money for 200 Bible Listening Groups (BLGs) to be set-up across the country. There was such an abundance of favour that, it took only 17-days to achieve this goal. This excitement served as a boost for the Word for All (WFA) field teams to promote the word of God to the people in the language they best understand. This excitement was contagious as everybody at Theovision was happy that the Lord had provided the opportunity right at the beginning of the year to continue to transform lives. The team was able to set up 122 BLGs in the different rural communities in Ghana however, they had to pause because of the travel and social gathering ban due to the COVID-19. Currently, the WFA teams are back ‘home’ and are now making plans to continue with the setting up the Bible Listening groups in various locations such as Prisons, Police Stations, Community Centres, Markets and Hospitals within the country.

On the Field: Language Recording

Three recording technician teams travelled in February to different locations in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria to record the Bible and were expected to return in May. They have completed the recording but unfortunately, due to the closure of boarders as a result of the COVID-19, they are unable to return home. This can be depressing as they are stuck at one place and cannot come back home now to see their loved ones and share their experiences of their travels. Besides, this situation will have a toll on the organization’s finances because, they will have to be supported financially whiles they are there.

Finding comfort in the Word of God during these times

During these difficult times, there are many Christians and leaders around the world who have been fasting and praying to help find solutions. Yes, we need God daily! We shouldn’t lose faith in God “for whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” – Mark 11:24. Our strength is and will always be drawn from Him. He is the answer to all things.
