Day 2 – At Nyameyehene Village

There were more than 100 people still waiting in line at the end of the day which our medical team couldn’t attend to because of time. As a result, we are back again at Nyameyehene village today to attend to more people.  It’s 8:15am and over 120 people including children have already lined up. The patients waiting in line are listening to the Audio Bible which is being played on the “Asempaadaka” and waiting patiently for the arrival of the medical team.

The medical team is excited to see the great turn out today and is pumped up to get started.  Our main focus for today is to register children under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and to renew for those whose Insurance have expired.

The President, Rev. Theodore Asare and his wife Mrs. Monica Asare have joined us on the field today. The are visiting each station to interact with the medical staff and the patients.

While mothers wait for their turn to see the doctors with their children, most of the children are having a great time with the children’s ministry volunteer, Sika. The children love singing, dancing and learning the Word of God with her.

Every patient received clothing for free after receiving treatment from the medical team.

At the end of the day’s activities, we have been able to attend to 350 adults and successfully registered 154 children under the National Health Insurance Scheme.

At 3:30pm, our medical team was invited by a group of young men from the village to a soccer match. What a blast we had, as both teams drew 3-3. The winner of the match had to be decided by a penalty shootout. The youth of Nyameyehene village triumphed by a 4-1 win against our medical team on penalties.

We are grateful for yet another successful medical outreach day. We couldn’t have done this without our cherished partners. God bless you for all the support. Keep praying with us!
