Reverend Theodore Asare has extended an invitation to members of the Ghana Christian Medical and Dental fellowship (GCMDF), to partner Theovision in her future medical outreach programs. He was speaking at the 13th Annual National Conference of GCMDF held at the Catholic Pastoral Center, Koforidua, from 4th July to 7th July, 2013.
The conference brought together over 40 seasoned medical practitioners and students to share ideas under the theme, Medicine and Missions. In attendance was the Chief Psychiatrist of Accra Psychiatric Hospital, Dr. Akwasi Osei, who intrigued the attendees with his talk on the scientific basis of homosexuality. He disagreed with the scientific position that the act is normal and rather exposed the flaws of the various researches done on the subject. He further stressed the need for homosexuals to seek help.
Theovision International was one of the four Christian organizations which were invited to the conference to share what they do to spread the Gospel. In a very pictorial presentation, Reverend Asare walked the Doctors through the history of Theovision International, the purpose for which it was established and how the audio Bible and the Bible listening program have been used as tools for soul winning and discipleship. There was thunderous applause when he mentioned that Theovision together with her partners have recorded the audio Bible in 288 languages across 35 African countries. They were also impressed with the Bible listening programs in hospitals, schools, prisons and churches and wanted to know more.
Reverend Asare in his conclusion made a special appeal to the Doctors to partner Theovision in future medical outreach programs.
