CEO & President
My heart is filled with song and appreciation; as the good Lord helped Theovision International survive a storm that threatened the survival of this ministry. The storm in the year 2011 was quick and strong but the Lord proved indeed that He was with us. Like Job’s misfortune, one problem followed the other in quick succession to try to destroy the ministry of the oral Bible in Africa but the Lord helped us out. During the storm the words to the hymn "It is Well with My Soul" by Horatio Spafford encouraged us greatly; “When peace like a river attendeth our way. When sorrows like sea billows rolled. Whatever my lot, Thou taught me to say it is well with my soul”
2011 was the year we had to dispense with the services of many of our staff for lack of resources. It was heart breaking to lose some of these committed staff. It was not all stories of gloom and doom though. This same year we kick started Project Hannah, a powerful women centered ministry, did many medical outreaches in remote areas, built water wells in two villages, established many more Bible listening centers in Senior High and Primary Schools, expanded our Bible Listening program to more prisons and communities, was able to continue broadcasting at all the radio stations, built the Tree of Life Clinic to support our medical outreach, and managed to record audio Bibles in 10 languages in Africa.
Though we suspended the operations of our Service Center in Nigeria, we were able to keep that of Kenya in operation. Is that not the doing of the Lord? When the tempest raged and the billows tossed high, we believed that with God in the saddle our ship would never sink. God showed His faithfulness to us and we are hopeful that He will continue to support us in our resolve to bring the Bible in audio to transform the lives of the people of Africa.
We praise the Lord for enabling us to survive when we went through the difficult period in 2011. I am particularly grateful to you, our donors and partners, who remained steadfast and faithful to us by your continued financial and prayer support to Theovision in this year of challenging period. Join hands with me to praise God for what He’s done, what He is still doing, and would still do for us.
God bless us all. Shalom!
